B2B marketing - what does that mean?

We’ve just had a discussion about it in our house. I can confirm it does not stand for briefcase to briefcase - despite the image.

B2B stands for business-to-business. So, if you’re selling B2B that refers to transactions and sales interactions between two businesses rather than between a business and individual consumers (B2C). In B2B selling, the customers are other companies or organisations.

This can involve selling products, services, or solutions tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of a business. The sales process in B2B can be long and will often include negotiations, relationship-building, and addressing the unique challenges of the customer. Decision making involves lots of information gathering and things like quality, return on investment (ROI) and reliability matter.

If you are selling B2B, marketing content needs to be consistent, high quality and give plenty of information – don’t forget to have a tone that speaks to your customers. If you’re not sure what’s best for your business, get in touch!
